Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. Amy Smart started modelling in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land an appearance for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was extremely intense. It was a hard time when she had to change between modeling and acting because models were not thought of as actors and tended to be given smaller and inconsequential parts. Amy had a determination to be successful and eventually she was offered bigger roles starting in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy later stepped into lead parts in 2005's love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than 10 years of struggling.
